Between dinners
More than a mailing list
The group chat is where nights get posted, plans get made, and people who met at a table keep talking.
What it's for
It's a room for people who've eaten together, and people who are about to.
Dinners are the point — the chat exists so the club isn't only six people at a time. Nights go up here before anywhere else, and if someone drops out on the day, the free seat gets offered here first.
It's deliberately quiet. Nobody needs another group chat going off at midnight.

Say hello. Nobody's going to make you introduce yourself properly.
Watch for a night
Dinners get posted here first, usually a week or two ahead.
RSVP on Luma
Grab a seat and answer the questions. That's the table sorted.
Turn up
On your own, at seven. That's it.
Questions
What does it cost?
You pay for your own dinner. There's no membership and no cover. Venues are picked so a normal meal doesn't require a special occasion budget.
What if I don't know what to say?
Every table gets one opening question sent out with the details — a real one, tied to the thing your table has in common. It's there so nobody has to fall back on asking what everyone does for work.
I have a dietary restriction. Is that a problem?
No. Tell us when you RSVP and you'll only be placed somewhere the kitchen can actually handle it. It's a hard rule, not a preference we weigh against other things.
How far will I have to travel?
You tell us how far you'll walk and we hold to it. Every venue is downtown and close to a subway stop.
What if I book and then can't make it?
Cancel on Luma as early as you can. A no-show leaves five people at a table set for six, so people who repeatedly don't turn up get placed last.
One Wednesday. Five people you haven't met.
Pick a night, answer a few questions, and turn up on your own. That's the whole thing.
