You're new here

What this is
7PM Social is a supper club for people who want to meet someone new without it being a whole production.
You book a seat, not a table. We put six people together who have one thing in common and not much else, pick a room downtown, and send you the details the day before. You show up at seven and talk to five people you'd never otherwise have met.
It started because making friends as an adult in this city is oddly hard, and every alternative is either a bar too loud to talk in or a networking event nobody wants to be at.
If any of this sounds familiar, you'll be fine here.

Friends moved, coupled up, had kids, or just got busy. Nobody did anything wrong — it happens to everyone around thirty and nobody warns you.
Not a networking event, not a bar where you can't hear anyone. Six people at one table for two hours, which is long enough to get past the small talk.
How it works
Find a Wednesday that works. Every dinner is 7PM, downtown.
Answer a few questions while you're there — that's how we build the table.
The day before, you get the restaurant, the nearest stop, and who to ask for.
Seriously. Everyone else did too, and that's what makes it work.
There's no account to make.
You RSVP on Luma and answer a few questions there — where you are, what you do, what you're into, anything you can't eat, and how far you'll walk. That's what the table is built from. Nothing is stored on this site.
The table
Most things like this seat people who are alike. Six people who agree with each other, discovering they agree.
We do the opposite: one thing in common, everything else different. Every table is built around a single shared interest so there's always a way in, and around that we spread the room out — different work, different ages, and a real mix of people who talk and people who listen. Six of the same is the failure case, not the goal.
You'll never be sent further than you said you'd walk, the kitchen will know what you can eat, and you won't sit with the same person twice inside six months.
Questions
There isn't one. This site has no account, no password and no form — you RSVP on Luma, and the few questions there are what the table is built from. Nothing about you is stored here.
Yes, and so does everyone else. It's the one rule that matters. A pair at a table of six changes the whole dynamic — the other four end up talking to a unit instead of two people. If you want to bring a friend, book them onto a different night.
Five people chosen so that you have exactly one thing in common and differ on most of the rest. We tell you the shared interest in advance. We don't tell you who they are — you find that out when you sit down.
No. Tables are built for conversation, not chemistry, and we don't match on who you'd like to meet romantically. What people do after dessert is their business.
You pay for your own dinner. There's no membership and no cover. Venues are picked so a normal meal doesn't require a special occasion budget.
